A near by village 3KM from Gokavaram,It is famous for its Load Venkateswara Temple on appox. 250 feet mountain.It was built in 1950's.The temple resembles tirupathi as govindarajullu & Mangadevi temple below the Hill.
People are very happy with what they have.They enjoy every movement of their life far away from the mechanical life.
Filmstars were brought from chennai for performing dance for annual celebrations of the temple,there are bogamelalallu,
Do you Thantikonda had got electric power in 1964 itself i.e before Gokavaram.
Here the people are lavish in Eating (can i say experts in Non Veg.),Shrungaram/Vebic...m.,Movies,gossips.
Ohh!!What not they are born for enjoyment & happyness.
They unit as a single family at hte times of celebration & sorrow. where can we find this in this small world.

It contineued till 90's but unfortunately things changed, drought in the village for contineously for 7 years had changed the farmers life.Its like Lakshmi left the village.

Myself and my brothers are students of same school, besides many other people from Gokavarm, Thantikonda, Kothapalli etc.I am working as Dy General Manager in a reputed multinational Cement company, and our son jairam working in TCS (Florida-USA) and daughter working in a multinational company. My brother Mani Babu is Sr drawing Officer In Govt of Goa and one of his daughter studying BDS. Our younger brother Veerraju Babu is Dy Director in Indian Council of Medical research and his wife is Asst Proffessor in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. Our father Sri Bontha Tamma Rao was Ex.MPP (first) of Gokavaram, who worked full term. Present RTC bus stand & Depot located on our ancestral property, which still bears our surname.

Satyanarana Murty (Tantikonda Siddanti garu) built this temple. He is very famous for Jyotisham and Vastu plannings. He is not only famous in India but also in abroad(US, Germany). Now the fate of Tantikonda has been changed. Government sanctioned Polavaram canal and Musurumilli reservoir to this village, Iam sure, soon this village will be having great future.
