Substation for the original 1915 PRR main line electrification project. Original substation building transformed 44kV 25hz distributor current to 11kV traction current. Substation was exapnded and upgraded in 1938 and now converts 138kV transmission power into 12kV traction power for the overhead catenary.

With electric freight traffic declining the 44kV system was decommissioned and only the 138kV transformers remain.
