This is one of 11 tunnels on Canadian National's rail line between Prince George and Prince Rupert, a line which was completed by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway during 1914. The tunnel is 2,069' in length, and is the longest of the 11 tunnels. This line is used by VIA Rail Canada's Jasper-Prince Rupert Train, previously called the Skeena.
