This 12-story office building began its existence in 1934 as the McCann Building. Developer Paul Kossman purchased it in 1955, and in 1969 gave it a makeover and humbly renamed it the Kossman Building. The building became Town Place in 2008, coinciding with renovation work and the addition of Gold's Gym.

The building's address is variously given as 100 Forbes Avenue or 400 Stanwix Street.
