West Hants Middle School

This building became known as West Hants Middle school in 2003 and currently operates at grades 7 - 9. Previously this school was known as Hants West Rural Highschool. The closing of the nearby Windsor Regional Highschool prompted the creation of Avon View Highschool in Windsor Nova Scotia. High school students who previously would have attended Hants West and Windsor Regional now go to this school and Hants West has been turned into a middle school. However the school is currently closed to do construction and middle school students are now taking shifts at Avon View until construction is completed (scheduled for 2010).
