The Unrelated Pond

This unnamed pond was present before and after the 9-11-01 aircrash of United Flight 93. Many visitors mistake the water-filled depression for a weathered impact crater from the crash; however, the pond was not formed by the September Eleventh events and is a stormwater collection impoundment from the strip mine landscape restoration days.
