European Square is the beautiful old square in the heart of Odesa.

In the course of history, the square changed its name several times, it was called:
• Elizavetynska (since 1830)
• Diukivska (1856–1860)
• Karla Marksa (1920–1942 & 1944–1955)
• Adolfa Hitlera (1942–1944)
• Potiomkintsiv (1965–1995)
• Katerynynska (1995–2024)

The current name is from April 24, 2024.
