The Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program is run by the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. It checks to see if your vehicle's exhaust, to determine if it is poluting the air too much. This program is not statewide, it's only limited to the counties of: Prince George's, Charles, Calvert, Carroll, Montgomery, Howard, Anne Arundel, Queen Anne's, Frederick, Washington, Harford, Cecil, Baltimore County and The City of Baltimore. If you live in Garrett, Allegany, Kent, Saint Mary's, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset or Worcester, you are exempt from this test.
