Hollin Hills is a large mid-century modernist community found about 3 miles south of Alexandria, VA. It consists of approximately 450 homes designed by the local architect, Charles M. Goodman, in partnership with the builder, Robert C. Davenport, and landscape architect, Dan Kiley. This community is particularly known in the Washington D.C. area for its cohesive array of modern residential architecture, in part, since residents are required to meet the approval of the neighbourhood's design committee on any planned exterior modifications on the existing houses. The community is noted for winning numerous design awards and being featured on the spread of several widely-distributed magazines, such as 'Dwell' & 'Wallpaper'.

The community was developed between 1946 and 1956 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
