This is a very beautiful lake right opposite the Thane Municipal Coorporation(TMC) building. The lake is surrounded by a jogging track. Beautiful trees overshadow most of the track from the sunlight. There is a small island in the lake. There are also artificial water fountains.
THE LAKE IS HAVING GREAT SURROUNDINGS AS AREA IS WELL DEVLOPED AND IT GLITTERS DUE TO THE KALAVATI AAI'S TEMPLE (PARMATH NIKETAN) & LORD GANESH MANDIR IN FRONT OF IT.
Surrounding areas are very well maintained by the TMC. A reclusive heaven for the health-conscious youth and also for the aged who come here for their daily walk in the mornings and evenings. The small play-area by the lake-side is also frequented by a lot of kids in the evening. One can also see many romanticizing-couples sitting by the lake-side. And occassionally some people fishing in the lake. Its indeed a very beautiful and peaceful place in the Panchpakhadi area of Thane.
A small Ganesha temple is located right next to the lake. There is often a long queue of devotees at the temple, esp. during days of religious significance.
The gates of the jogging-track remain open for most of the day-time. They are closed in the night (Closed between 10pm? and 6am? Need to check!)
