footbridge, bridge
The first bridge leading to Bolko island was built in 1930s. It was destroyed in 1945 except piers and a small fragment between river and the abutment on Pasieka island. Completely new bridge was built in 1960 on old piers. Surprisingly it was a pedestrian bridge only, even though there was no other way to get on island except for boats. A policeman kept watch and allowed only delivery cars to pass. Only after 2000 another bridge was built in southern part of the island, allowing car access.
