Geneva County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of 2000 the population was 25,764. Geneva County is a prohibition or dry county.

The county was named after its county seat, Geneva, which in turn was named after Geneva, Switzerland, by an early town resident and Swiss immigrant. Geneva County was established on December 26, 1868.

Geneva County is part of the Dothan, Alabama, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its total area is 579 sq mi (1,500 km²).
