Air Mawang Town is located near the border of Tampin/Kuala Pilah authority district, about 10 km from Tampin town. The town can be reached via Tampin - Kuala Pilah trunk road. Be courteous in your driving when passing by the town because the road can anytime be narrowed by the villagers' cars and motorcylces parked at both sides of the road. This town famous with Apam Johol

The shops are all rustic wooden, consist of groceries, restaurants, furnitures and electrical appliances, motorcycle/bicycle repair, barber and hair saloon, tailor, a super-mini department store (notably sells stationaries, toys, kitchen utensils, rubber tapping knives), chicken slaughtering/dressing service etc.

Nearby, there are two blocks of modern concrete shop lots that the busy activities in old wooden shops has been intended to be relocated here. However, they remain mostly empty.
