Sangla is a major town in the Baspa valley (Kinnaur dist) and the valley is popularly known as the Sangla valley also. The 40km road which leads you to here is amazing. Must watch.

  • It is a beautiful valley. Best time to visit is Aug-Sept when orchards are full of apples. There are small hotels, govt guest house (Prior booking is required from Recongpeo) and camping facilities are available. I ,of course, visited long back facilities may be better now. You can drive your car to this place. From Shimla every bit of view is enjoiable. Food is cheep and people are cheerful.
  • It is the closest to paradise on earth, and could give Kashmir a run for its money. It is a beautiful valley with the Baspa river flowing through it. The Baspa Hydel Project is located here. The HPSEB (Electricity Board) rest house is very comfortable and can be booked from Shimla. Banjara

  • As already eloberated above,it is very beautiful and loely place.Best period to visit is From May to September.At present there is remarkable improvemnt in facilities such as Roads,Hotels Govt.Rest Houses. Also at the same time the living standard of people has improved a lot.Worth to visit.
