  • i am interested to know whether there is any ancient written record about human settlements on koorumala.my paternal grand aunty used to narrate how she and her husband used to go to koorumala for ginger cultivation.they used to take rice and curry packed in banana leaves.during work the food was left as packets hanging from branches of trees which were stolen by bands of monkeys.she is from kommattam family at mutholapuram and was married off to thottuvelil.one of her sons was a jesuit in patna.the others live at edayar. joseph kommattam germany
