The Singoor dam is constructed across the river Manjeera with main objective of providing drinking water to Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The Dam is situated to the North-West of Hyderabad at about 60 KMs (20Kms from Sangareddy capital town of Medak Dist in A.P.).
The Dam offers a very good scenery to the tourists.

  • it is a very isolated scenic place but very little for tourists to stay or enjoy no facilities not even a public toilet ! there is supposedly an irrigation /poer deprtmetn guest house but no one seems to know how to get hold of reservations. there are two ways to reach singiir one is from atmakur cross roads after sadaseopet and other is from budar checkpost all are on bombayhyd highway. the highw way is under cionstruction so Ok most places but terrible in some places. the side road up to singur is partly metalled but better take a strudy jeep or qualis or some other 4 weel drive vehicle do not take TATindica ;-)
