"The volcanic field Balhaf is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Aden, in southern Yemen about 100 kilometers southwest of the city of Al-Mukalla. Basaltic lava flows and cinder cones cover the volcanic area. The highest point is formed with 233 yards through the cinder cone at-Tabab, which has a crater with a diameter of 1.5 kilometers. Another nearby cinder cone has a crater lake.
