Last chance to see . . . On the picture you can see Ove Arup's stunning shallow-domed concrete roof, built after fire damage to the original building in the 1950s. Demolition of this whole range of buildings has now been agreed. Only the larger market building to the right will survive a forthcoming orgy of destruction. Apparently, London still does not have enough faceless office blocks and another one is needed.

I believe it's actually the builds further to the west of the Poultry markets (the ones bounding Farringdon st) that are being demolished (and yes there are planned to be office blocks built) according to this: http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/LGNL_Services/Council_and_democracy/Council_news/Council_news_and_information_releases/smithfield.htm

UGLY UGLY UGLY UGLY. Has no business being sandwiched between those 2 beautiful market buildings.

Kunal take the shit out your eyes, this building is an eyesore & health hazzard to boot. The Domed roof leaks everywhere & all the walk ways have to be painted monthly because of Asbestos. Another perfect example of how the Coporation of London, throws money away, just like in Tower Bridge.
