NYU School of Law Residence Hall - 21-story dormitory completed in 1981. Designed by Benjamin Thompson & Associates, the building has a U-shaped plan with a landscaped entrance court facing Mercer Street. The facades are clad in brown brick, with square window units. The corner windows are more deeply recessed. The building replaced the Broadway Central Hotel, which collapsed in 1973. The Hayden name was relocated from the dorm along Washington Square Park which is known as Lipton Hall.
