"KURF is located about 25 miles from the campus of Virginia Tech in the Chemical Lime Company's Kimballton mine. The experimental area is located on the 14th level at a depth of 1700', and has the benefit of drive-in access."

  • Someone is confused. The Homestake Mine is not in Virginia.
  • It is in VA, the WV boarder is about 2 miles to the Northwest. There are probably other mines with the same name elsewhere. You can easily use a map to find the boarder. :D
