Six kilometers north of the McMahon Line's straight line portion immediately east of Bhutan as shown on the authoritative 1914 small scale map initialed by all three parties and on the large scale 1942 1:63,360 scale Survey of India map. According to Neville Maxwell's history of the 1962 war, the Indian Intelligence Bureau claimed that Indian terrain should extend to this ridge based on the watershed principle, while the army wanted to stop at the aforementioned straight line 6 km to the south shown on Google Earth hybrid or Google Earth map views. This entire ridge controlled by the Chinese since 1962.
