7th SSGN Division subordinate to the 11th Submarine Squadron of the Northern Fleet
This is the Nuclear submarine unit based in the Ara Bay area of Vidyayevo and formed 8/8/1965, and whilst originally composed of Echo II Class (Pr.675) boats, (as of 2008) comprised as follows :

On March 5, 2003, the Pskov was being overhauled in a dry dock in Roslyakovo. The wood scaffolding surrounding the hull was ignited by the welding work that was done to the ship, and a fire broke out. After 90 minutes, the fire was put out, and the Pskov's outer soundproofing rubber coating was damaged. There were no casualties or radiation leakage. The submarine is believed to be operational since early 2007

In 2001 , after an accident in the reactor compartment entered the shipyard Nerpa . By the year 2003 the submarine took place upgrades, access to the sea had been planned for 2004. Repair completed in late April 2008.

In 1996 the submarine was named after Prince Daniil Moskovsky, the youngest son of Alexander Nevsky. On 6 September 2006, a fire broke out on board killing two sailors.
As of the date of the current GE Satellite image (2005) there were a further two SSN boats of the NATO Class Victor III still in active service with the Northern Fleet, namely K-388 Petrozavodsk & K-138 Obninsk, and might be among those seen in that image.
December 1, 1982 (based on the directives of the General Staff of the Navy on May 5, 1982) 7th SSGN Division was one of the 1st FlPL transferred to the 9th Espl SF, based in Bay Ara Lip. Since 1994, as part of a second fleet of submarines. October 1, 1994 based on the ships 6 th, 7th Division squadron of submarines formed a new structure of 7-Panzer submarines stationed in Ara Bay.
