Built in the early 1960s, Moorestown Mall has seen its share of remodeling and renovation as the area surrounding it rapidly grew. Currently, it is home to well over 100 stores and is a neighbor to the popular East Gate shopping center. Its proximity to not only major New Jersey highways, but also Cherry Hill Mall, has led to its success.
Currently, it is anchored by Sears, Macys, Lord & Taylor, and Boscov's. An expansive food court and adjacent movie theater are also featured, as is an indoor skate park.
In the mid 1990s a fire closed the northern quarter of the mall.
Moorestown mall has been owned by PRIT since 2003 when it was bought from The Rouse Company.
