Opened in 1961, Cherry Hill Mall is a partially bi-level upscale shopping mall. By this, about two-thirds of the mall is one level, the other third has two. It is the focus point of Cherry Hill, New Jersey and one of the largest and best-known malls in the state. Its presence has been responsible for both the retail and residential growth of the general area and its thoroughfares.

Home to about 160 retailers, it is currently anchored by Macy's (originally a Bamberger's), JCPenney, and Nordstrom (replaced Strawbridge & Co. in a new wing). Several shopping centers and restaurants are immediately adjacent to the property.

It is currently managed by the PREIT company, which also manages, in addition to other local shopping centers, the nearby Moorestown Mall.
