Magura village is under territorial administration Moeciu village, situated at 1000 m altitude, the village is located within the National Park. It has 986 inhabitants and 1 357 ha pastures and hayfields. Managemntul traditional grazing plays a key role for the conservation of 216 species of butterflies and various species of plants (over 30% of total plant species in Romania was found on meadows of the village). It offers visitors a rare delight that only nature can give him: lick, clean air, mountain paths bordered by pine, birch or beech.
Magura village is located about 30 km from Brasov, where to get the Zarnesti and rail (for those coming by train).

Magura village is situated in the middle of the national park. The village is a dispersed settlement, which until 50 years ago was available only in summer, on a road carts. Therefore, rural traditions have been preserved until today and are lovingly maintained by the inhabitants of the village. Source is the lives of villagers especially sheep. Grass pastures are mowed as hay once the scythe and horse-drawn atelajele transport are still prevalent in the village.
