the above information is very wrong.the village name is PUNNAYUR.there is no trade centre.Once upon a time(40 years back)thekkinedathupadi was a trade centre.there are two prominent mosques, one in north and another in south part of the village.same way two prominent temples :one at thekkinedathu padi(siva temble)another 200 meters north of this :pavittakulangara bhagavathi.thekkinedathu padi is the junctiion of the roads:poozhikkala(kadikkadu villag)-chavakkad and vadakkedadu-adakkara

  • This is a nice, calm and beutiful village with the live touches of last centuary. No one will wait in this area for the last bus because there is no bus root in south Punnayur. Alapalam is the main tourist attraction and the road from Alapalam to Andikottil kadavu is really will remind you Switzerland. South Punnayur is situated 9 kms north from Guruvayoor and famous for the innocent inhabitants those frequently invade thier neighboures`land boundries atleast one feet by per year.
