This is a dam constructed on the foot hills of Adalur & Pandri malai(hill). Since this dam is constructed up the river, water flow to the Kathirayan Kulam(pond) reduced drastically. This is the major water source for many drinking water projects in this part. Water from here is taken to villages around 10 KMs away.
