Al Palonis Park is part of the City of Tampa's Parks. It is located at the end of West Gandy Boulevard just before the Gandy Bridge, along the waters of Old Tampa Bay.
Al Palonias Park features a nature trail and boardwalk that meanders through the mangroves along the bay. Also a pier and picnic area are available.
The park is adjacent to the Friendship Trail Bridge, a 2.6-mile lighted concrete pedestrian bridge trail spanning Tampa Bay between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. The Friendship Trail Bridge is currently closed and its future status is in question.
