Le Pouce de César (Caesar's Thumb), in the La Défense quarter, is one of many works by the artist César Baldaccini, which are dispersed throughout Paris. In cast iron, measuring twelve metres in height and weighing eighteen tons, this sculpture was created from an enlarged mold of the artist's own thumb.
