Courbevoie (French pronunciation: [kuʁbœvwa]) is a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.2 km. (5.1 miles) from the center of Paris.
It is one of the most densely populated municipalities in Europe, and ranks as the third-best place to live in the Île-de-France region, directly after the neighbouring communes of Levallois-Perret and Neuilly-sur-Seine.
La Défense, Paris's business district hosting the tallest buildings in the metropolitan area, spreads over the southern part of Courbevoie (as well as parts of Puteaux and Nanterre).

  • it's a pity that less and less authentic French restaurants, cafés, bistros and estaminets in Courbevoie, but more and more Arabic, Indian and Turkish food outlets, but in the remaining French restaurants they always add a lot of béchamel sauce in any entrée they serve: be it beef bourguignon, pot-au-feu or cassoulet.
