The AON Center is a modernist Class A office skyscraper located at the Financial District in Los Angeles, California. It was constructed from 1970 to 1973 and was the tallest building in Los Angeles from 1973 to 1989. Designed by Charles Luckman, it is a rectangular block building with a white border, and a remarkably slender form for a skyscraper in a seismically active area.

The building actually had several different names: The United California Bank Building from 1973 to 1984, the First Interstate Tower from 1984 to 1993, and the AON Center since 2001. There were no logos atop the building between 1998 and 2003.

The AON Center has a height of 858 ft (262 m) with 62 floors. It has a floor area of 1,250,000 sq ft (116,128 sq m). The building's center core contains 32 elevators and 3 stair shafts. The mechanical floors are located on floors 4, 5, 22, 42, 61, and 62. There is a parking garage under the tower which can store 243 cars and a 3-level underground garage at 657 Wilshire with spaces for 579 cars.

On May 4, 1988, a fire began on the building's 12th floor and burned for four hours. It ended up destroying five floors, injuring 40 people, and leaving one maintenance worker dead. The building was not equipped with a sprinkler system, through one was being installed at the time of the fire. The fire caused $50,000,000 in damages and the building was repaired by September of 1988.
