  • I grew up in Addis, This school was originally called "The English School", the school was started by the Sandfords, Brigidier Sandfords daughter Eleanor and her husband, the Headmaster, Mr Casbon. When they left in the early 1970's the school changed it's name to "The Sandford School" and was then run by Mr Coldbaker if my memory serves me right. I left in 1975 during the dreadful revolution! I have very fond memories of my years from Kindergarden through High School,good and bad. (Lost a lot of good friends during the "bad times") of my years from Kindergarden through High Schoo
  • Pete Casmir Have you come to visit Addis after the fall of the dreadful derg? Bad governance is still going on but it is good to come and see your childhood upto high school memory. We can't change what happend in the past only the saddness will live with us till the end.
  • Strange, I know the name Peter casimir. We were students together at the then Sanford School. Name is Abiy Seifu!!
  • I went to The English School in Addis Ababa from late 1967 to early 1972 as the son of a Nigerian diplomat. (I was 10 plus when we left). I visited Addis many years later in 1991 and was told the name of the school had been changed. I still met the driver who took us to school in the Embassy Land Rover.
  • Studied in Sandford International School from 1968 - 1975. It was then known as The English School and name was changed to Sandford School. It was a dream come true to visit the school after 35 years in 2011 for the very first school reunion.
  • I studied in the English school as it was then known, from kindergarten till Form 1 that is till 1970. I have very fond memories especially of Mr, Casbon, the head master , his wife and daughter Fiona who was my class mate....I hope to make a trip back memory lane soon
