Saint Saviour's Priory on Upper Dorset Street houses a community of Dominican friars. The community is home to the students of the Irish province of Dominicans in the initial stages of formation. The students are studying this academic year (2008-2009) in different academic institutions in the Dublin area.

Saint Saviour's is like any other Dominican priory in that in the community there are priest-brothers engaged in a variety of apostolates: celebration of the sacraments, liturgical preaching, giving of retreats, publishing articles and religious journals, ministry to foreign nationals, parish ministry. Not all the friars are Irish. There are currently friars from Colombia, the Ukraine, Poland, the Netherlands and Trinidad who are also members of the community.
