The institutional centre of the Franciscan Friars Minor Umbria Province is in Assisi in the Porziuncola Friary, located in St. Mary of the Angels.
The most important task of the Provincial fraternity is to take care of the Sanctuaries containing the memory of the Franciscan Order's origins.
To this is added the more traditional evangelization and charitable activities in the region.
