  I am not sure about the historical or religious significance of this place. But, it certainly brings back some fond childhood memories for me. Back in 1986, a bunch of friends along with me made a trip to this place. From Atmakur by bus till Sivapuram, and then a 4 km walk through dirt roads and fields. The place had a ravaged temple of Saraswathi and a small pond joined by perennial streams. Water looked transparent with canopy branches looming over the pond. I also remember a bunch wild mango trees along the banks of the pond. I had some pictures of this location, I really I had preserved them. I remember us trekking up on the rocky heights adjacent to the temple. Last return bus back to Atmakur was at 05:00pm. We missed it but had no regrets about it. It gave us 6 long hours of "catch up" time as we walked back to Atmakur through small villages. Boy o boy do I remember it or what? Permanently etched on my mind. I made at least 4 or 5 nostalgic trips to this place after that.

  now there is no need to walk. There is a road upto the temple
