Accessibility

There is level access to the main entrance from the upper car park, which has three parking spaces for those with a disability. The building benefits from an induction loop in the theatre, meeting room, and at lending and reference receptions.

There are two internal lifts, access to a print magnifier and specialist adaptive software and hardware on the People's Network computers. There are two shopping trolleys which assist those with movement difficulty both with balance and collecting loans on the lending floor.

There is a very large selection of LARGE PRINT BOOKS, Audio Books on CD and tape, music CD's, Video's, DVD's and Computer games and software.

The AK Bell Library in Perth is a bright, open building where you can relax, have a snack, read and learn, treat yourself or socialise.

It offers a broad range of borrowing, information and learning services for all ages. You can learn about the history and culture of the region, borrow the latest thriller or romance, read the local newspaper or bring your children to our storytelling sessions

Use it to help your reading, writing and number skills, to learn computer and internet skills, to join a reading group or find out what's on in your community.

There is now alsoFREE wireless accessto the internet at AK Bell Library.

Perth & Kinross Council Archive is located within the AK Bell Library, and has slightly different opening times.

If you belong to a society or organization we can also offer facilities for your meetings.
