Historic boarding house once owned by Mary Surratt, one of the convicted conspirators in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The conspirators met here while planning the assassinations of Lincoln, Vice-President Johnson, and Secretary of State Seward. The building now houses the Wok & Roll Chinese Restaurant. A plaque on the building's facade commemorates its place in American history. The house was constructed in 1843 and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
