The history of this Tyrolean estate extends all the way back to the 11th century. Even its tradition as a castle hotel has deep historical roots. It is a castle hotel since 1885. Such famous personalities as Gustav Roentgen and Rudolf Diesel, as well as literary figures like Paul Heyse, Stefan Zweig and Gertrud von Le Fort, all found this to be a place of inspiration and regeneration. The castle hotel comprises 23 rooms, a restaurant and fine red and white wines from the castle’s own vineyards.
