GOVT. FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE
One of it's kind which offers courses in Cinematography And Audio engineering. Cinematography deals with film making and Sound engineering deals with Sound recording and electronics.

These courses were earilier conducted by Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic College stared in 1943 by Sir. M. Vishweshwaraiah. This college was the first Polytechnic college in Asia when started. Later in 1996 the courses were shifted to Hessarghatta, building a separate college for these courses and giving wider exposure to the film and television industries.
