"Cory" Aquino, the mother of democracy and the first female preisdent in the Philippines was laid to rest beside her husband, Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. (Nov. 27, 1932-Aug. 21, 1983), who died 26 years ago after he was murdered upon his return from the United States.
