It is an abode of shanthi (Peace/"shaloam"). It's a perfect home for the novices of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts to experience Jesus and the shaloam that he gives. It helps them to grow in prayer, faith and love of nature. Shanthi Ashram also is engaged in helping the less-privileged children from the neighbouring villages in their education.
