The steep canyons were formed due to erosion of the millennial waters of the Tiber. The area is particularly harsh, but very suggestive: the river flows in fact collected for 8 kilometers between nearly vertical walls, over 200 meters high and 40-50 meters distant from each other. The vegetation consists of oak and hornbeam trees, heather, gorse and by, in the valley of the Pasquarella, from the laurel and the wild fig. It is in this steep climb that live and nest prey such as the buzzard, the sparrow and the red kite.
