This is the grave site/memorial to Clover Adams.

It features a famous hooded bronze statue by renowned American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens commonly known as "Grief," although Saint-Gaudens hated that name. The statue was a favorite reflection spot of Eleanor Roosevelt during her years in the White House.

A famous copy that became the center of one of the most famous ghost stories in Maryland history now sits in the courtyard at the Dolly Madison building on Lafayette Square.

The memorial was erected in 1891 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
