Culpepper Bend Shelter

USA / Florida / Geneva /

A St. Johns Water Management District shelter and picnic area located along the Econlockhatchee River where it makes a hair-pin turn.

Sign on front of the building refers to it as "Cul Pepper Bend Shelter". The sign is incorrect. Both the SJRWMD and the Seminole County Wateratlas website refer to it as Culpepper Bend.

The spot was named after Mr. Culpepper who lived in the area during the late 1800s. Every summer he would bring his daughters here and camp just so they wouldn't get in trouble with the boys.
