  New Perungalathur is a town panchayat will is very near to tambaram, a large municipality and gateway to chennai..distance between new perungalathur to tambaram is 3km towards north..Infrastructure in new perungalathur is very decent and its going to be converted into corporation..The major landmarks are newly emerged Accenture Software company..Perungalthur is very good in transportation..its very well connected with both Railways and NH45..All the facilities are available in this area..Banking(ATM) facilities, Palar water facilities, excellent matriculation and Government Schools(Govt.Higher.Secondary.School, Peerkankaranai)is one of the very well established schools which is equivalent to Matriculation schools in the area of infrastructure, coaching and other facilities..Within 5 years from right now, I am sure that it will emerge as one of the great Sub urban area of chennai..Tourist places are:Arignar anna zoological park,Vandalur, Chennai-48 which is 4 kms away from perungalathur towards south on NH45..Hospitals of all kinds(Dental,ENT etc) are available..Parks,Hotels,Restaurents are available..Good electricity facility available..more than that many reputed self engineering colleges like(Sairam, Crescent,SRM university are located so close to this area)..MCC(Madras Christian College) one of the fine arts and science college is located very near to perungalthur..Finally perungalathur is a land of opportunity and convenience..
