Trivia:Was the most popular swimming pond for the public of Tezpur in the early eighties! The large tank preserves the name Harzara Varman in Tezpur. It was excavated in the early part of the 19th century. This is the third largest tank covering an area of 70 acres.
This water tank is 430 metres long. Said to be built by King Harzarabarman. This east-west facing tank is used by the state fishery department to culture fishes. This particular tank is also used by youths of Tezpur to swim and have fun. One can play cricket or football in the nearby field and then go for a swim at the end.
