This is a temple dedicated to lord shiva,it is beleaved that its lingum had been established by Bhima of Pandawa's to get rid from the cursed of bakasur,to whom he had killed in the jungle of jhhalidham during their Agyantwash period (to get Aloof from public contact),now a days it is divine place for all communities.
