Built between 1750-1760 by Samuel von Bruckenthal's brother, Josef von Bruckenthal.
The Castle has 35 rooms , with stucko decorations, a large mural painting and terracotta stoves, all in a poor state of conservation.
Samuel von Bruckenthal (1721, Nocrich – 1803, Sibiu/Hermannstadt) was the Habsburg governor of the Grand Principality of Transylvania between July 6, 1774 and January 9, 1787. He was a baron of the Holy Roman Empire, and personal advisor of Empress Maria Theresia.
Samuel von Bruckenthal's main residence was in Sibiu/Hermannstadt(Capital of Transylvania between 1692-1791)
