All Kamat's have shifted mostly to Mumbai. Mr.Kishore Kamat is the only presently resides at Kamatwada with his family.Mt Arvind Kamat of Kamatwada built a bunglow outsife nearby Kamatwada and spends his retired life. Another Mrs Meerabai Kamat left Kamatwada two years back due to old age ang presently staying with her sons in Mumbai.

  • I (1966) and my sister Vinaya (1965) were born at Kamatwada ( Mukund Kamat's house) . My mother Usha was the elder sister of Mukund and Meerabai Kamat. We use to spend our every summer vacation at Kamat wada (KW) . Those days were never forgettable . All the houses at KW were full with people ( who use to come there in their respective houses during summer vacation). We use to play cards (304) , go to beaches , katta etc. Even my son enjoyed the stay at KW during each of his summer vacation . Only for past four years we were unable to go as my grandmother ( Meerabai Kamat) shifted to Mumbai to her sons place , due to her old age.
  • Having my roots in Binaga felt very happy and proud. May our Kulaswamini Shri Kundodari Mahamaya always have her Kulavis in Her sight and under Her protection.

  • One Mr, Saparloo Kamat of deity Chamundeshwari,Kudtari Mahamaya of Capem Goa migrated to Binaga some 300 years back with his family in view of conversion by church authorities.All family members of Kamatwada acquired land in the village.
  • Hi. My self Vinod Shanbhag, presently staying at Borivali , grand son of Meerabai M Kamat , son of her elder daughter Usha, visited Binaga in the third week of January 19.
