  • Further to Kamatwda, now the highway will be expanded for smooth traffic to the City Karwar..Binaga-Bithkhol Road will be reserved for Nawal use and there will be tunnel which takes you straight to City bypassing Baithkhol and Bavtekatta. On this old road after the ghat first curving there is a stone bench known as "Kamat Seat" Some locals in konkani call it as Kamasheet,But the name "KAMAT" is engraved on that bench can be seen eventhough this bench is now aboundoned as the sea view is blocked by wall by naval authorities. Further after next two curves there is another half circle cement bench known as "Kinked Seat".This must by built by some briitisher, Mr. Kinked, In early 1950,a judge of district court Karwar used to come for evening walk upto this place and rest and enjoy the sea view.Further up, there is a temple of 'Shira Puri Maharaj",and down the road a Hotel/Restaurant of Mr Rodrigues which was closed in view of manganese ore exported from the nearby port. ..Once the new tunnel connecting road to the city reopens people from Binaga will forget all the beatifull memories./ sites.
